The late Professor Tasos C. Papanastasiou (1953-1994) received his diploma in chemical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 1978, M.Sc. in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1980, and Ph.D. in 1985 from UM also. He was an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan (1985-1992) and an Associate Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1992-1994).
